FACTS

One Step at a Time

  1. Native American women have to work an extra 9 months, just to catch up to what white men earned in 2017

  2. According to the Shriver Report released in 2014, women earn annually 77 cents for every $1.00 men earn.

  3. In 1963, women where paid 59 cents for every $1.00 men earned. That year the Equal Pay Act was passed, which mean that it took "44 years for the wage gap to narrow 18 cents, which is less than half a penny a year." Thus, efforts of bridging the wage gap have slowed down.

  6. San Francisco currently has the biggest wage gap out of any big city for Black Women.

  7. Women median annual earnings is $40,742 compared to $51,212 for men.
